El batería James Baker (fundador de The Victims, Beasts of Bourbon, Hoodoo Gurus o The Scientists) se alió con el guitarrista Joe Bludge (habitual compañero de James Cruickshank o CW Stonekings) para dar forma al dúo The Painkillers.

"Feel that pain" (Off the Hip) es el título de su último disco, un trabajo con influencias velvetianas, folk, garage o country, manufacturado con sencillez y con un buen puñado de efectivas canciones.
